CLUB OFFICER REQUIREMENTS

To maintain your officer role., each club leader, excluding the advisor role, must:
-Be a student enrolled in at least 6 credits at the time of service
-Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater
-Earn a semester GPA of 2.0 or greater
-Meet appropriate conduct standing

STEPS TO BECOMING A RECOGNIZED CLUB

1. Identify a president, treasurer, and a faculty/staff advisor.
-The president and treasurer cannot be filled by the same student unless an exception is given.
-The faculty or staff advisor must be here primarily for the purposes of employment. So even though a student might be employed at HCC, their primary reason for being at HCC is to take classes so they cannot serve as a club advisor

2. Clubs must register their club each semester on the Club Registration Form (see "Useful Links" tab)
-This lets us know what clubs plan to be active each semester.
-During this time, clubs will supply their officer list with student IDs, advisor and secondary advisor if it applies, and their club’s bylaws or constitution.
-To start and register a new club, get 10 students' names and IDs to sign up to join the club.

3. The president and treasurer of each club must complete club training.
-Training is also open to all other officer roles.

4. Wait for official approval at which time all benefits will be available to the club.

Please note that regardless of your club's mission and intent, all clubs must be open to all credit enrolled students.

Weekly Hours:
Monday: 10am - 7pm
Tuesday: 10am - 7pm
Wednesday: 10am - 9pm
Thursday: 10am - 9pm
Friday: 10am - 5pm
