The African Student Association (ASA) at Howard Community College fosters an inclusive environment for students of African descent and those interested in African culture. Our mission is to celebrate the diversity of African heritage, promote cultural awareness, and create opportunities for cross-cultural exchange. Through educational and social programs, we build a sense of community and unity among members while supporting academic success and personal growth. We strive to connect the African diaspora with the broader college community.

Some of our favorite memories have been from the fantastic stories told through this game. Our mission is to be the ones to tell these stories, and allow many others to do the same.

This is a club where creativity is highly encouraged.

EMPOWERMENT: providing students with resources, opportunities, and networks to help them push forward and broaden their circle as they work toward their dream career. SUPPORT: helping students become well-rounded and competitive applicants for their upper studies application using a holistic approach. Students will be coached on building necessary life skills, building strong character, taking care of their mental and physical well-being, time management, and other needs they might have.
